Why Call A Tree Surgeon

Many people mistakenly believe that tree surgeons only remove trees or cut trees down.  In fact there are many necessary services that we perform in order to keep your trees healthy, safe and looking their best.

If you are concerned about a tree on your property we will come to assess the tree and provide advice together with a quote for any necessary works, free of charge.

Some of the things we look for when assessing your trees are:

  • Dieback
This refers to a condition where part of the tree has begun to die.  It can be caused by a number of factors, such as fungus or disease.  There are many different fungi which can attack your trees and render them unsafe and unsightly.  An assessment will enable us to diagnose any fungus present and suggest necessary action.  This includes anything from fungicide treatment, removing diseased growth, or tree removal if the fungus has progressed to the point where it has rendered the tree dead or structurally unsafe.
  • Structural Integrity
When a tree has grown very large or is quite old it may need to be assessed to determine whether the structural integrity has been compromised.  This is particularly important if it is close to buildings as there is a concern for safety and property damage should there be structural failing in the tree.  If a tree is deemed to be a risk then there are options available, besides removal of the tree, such as cabling and bracing or a reduction of the tree to keep it at a safe size.
  • Size/Location
Sometimes trees simply outgrow their surroundings and may require pruning.  This can be done taking into consideration the space available as well as the health and aesthetic value of the tree.

This is just a brief summary of some of the tree care that we provide.  For a free assessment and quotation please call James at 07870916668 or email james@arbuk.co.uk.
