LARGE EUCALYPTUS TREE REMOVAL - OXFORD CITY

We were contacted by one of the universities in Oxford to provide a method to remove this large Eucalyptus tree.  Apparently the tree was planted in honour of Roger Bannister who back in 1954 ran the famous four minute mile. The reason for the tree’s removal was that it had outgrown the space and was putting pressure onto the old city wall.

Due to limited access we opted for a crane removal although we also only had a limited amount of space for a crane due to the narrow street.

Permissions for the tree’s removal and the road closure were obtained and the job was scheduled. The dismantling of the tree went well with sections being systematically being rigged, cut and lifted safely to the ground. The entire job was safely completed in a day. Following the tree’s removal the stump was also ground out to enable a new planting scheme.

As usual all of the arisings were recycled to produce renewable energy.
